Next time you grab a beer at Frothy Beard, be sure to look up. Local artist Shelby LeBlanc recently completed a new work of art for the brewery — a giant octopus. And while the piece is impressive in its own right, we’re most impressed with the material LeBlanc used to create the paper mache beast. Yes, y’all, your favorite old rag played a big role in the creation of Frothy’s octopus.

The eight-legged sea creature is made of almost entirely recycled materials, mostly old copies of the Charleston City Paper. We’re honored to play a part in such a magical creation.
