COVID-19 updates: South Carolina health officials reported 1,297 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday, with 13 additional confirmed deaths.
With 7,375 tests reported Tuesday, 17.6% were positive.
As of 2:47 p.m. Dec. 1, via S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control:
Confirmed cases in S.C.: 205,004 (+1,297)
Positive tests in Charleston County (total): 20,052 (+60)
Negative tests in S.C.: 2,419,820
Deaths in S.C. from COVID-19: 4,091 (+13)

Charleston County School District is expected to receive its allotment of rapid COVID-19 tests this Thursday. Spokesperson Andy Pruitt told Live 5 News the district is working to have the tests ready by the end of next week. Dorchester District 2 is also participating in the state’s school testing program, which will distribute 220,000 rapid COVID tests to schools around the state. Source: Live 5
