With testing traffic lower over the weekend, South Carolina health officials reported 1,540 positive cases of COVID-19 on Monday, the lowest count since Dec. 1. Eighteen deaths from the coronavirus were also noted.
From 5,397 tests reporting on Monday, 28.5% of those were positive.
For reference, Sunday’s report, which included tests conducted in the days before Christmas, included more than 18,000 tests, resulting in more than 4,000 positive cases.
