South Carolina health officials have received 112,125 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine as of Dec. 29. According to officials, 31,511 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far.

The state Department of Health and Environmental Control counted another 2,208 COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total 277,563. The total number of deaths increased to 4,804.

With 8,139 test results reported across the state yesterday, 27.1% came back positive.

Yesterday, the state received 84,500 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. This batch of treatments will be provided to the state’s long-term care facilities.
