Wood-fired pizzeria Coastal Crust opened a fourth location in the Wild Dunes Resort’s Sweetgrass Plaza May 29. The family friendly destination also operates locations in Mount Pleasant, James Island and Greenville.
“You can expect to see our traditional pizzas here with homemade gluten-free crust and vegan cheese available, antipasto options, pasta dishes, sandwiches, eats for the kids and yummy desserts,” the new restaurant wrote on Instagram.

The food truck-turned-brick-and-mortar debuted its first permanent location in 2017 behind Vintage Coffee in Mount Pleasant. Shortly after, City Paper critic called Coastal Crust’s mushroom pizza “a thing of beauty.” The new eatery brings the Isle of Palms resort’s total to seven, including its signature restaurant Coastal Provisions.
“We are excited to offer another dining option to our residents, guests and the local community,” Wild Dunes Resort managing director Robb Walker said. “Coastal Crust is an already established favorite in the Lowcountry and we are proud that they are now a part of the Wild Dunes community.”
