A downtown wine bar is making changes to its beverage program.
Eleni Rigas is the new wine manager and sommelier at Bistro A Vin, a French inspired wine bar that also announced the addition of a cocktail menu featuring seven new options.
Rigas joins Bistro A Vin after studying wine spanning the European continent, from France, Spain and Portugal to Germany, where she spent time as the assistant viticulturist and winemaker at Westhofen, Germany’s Winery Dreihornmühlethen.
“I am most excited about meeting and serving all of our wonderful customers,” Rigas said in a press release. “I love what we do and the wines we serve at Bistro a Vin, and sharing them with our customers is definitely the best part of my job.”

Bistro A Vin offers more than 20 wines by the glass, giving guests the chance to taste a variety of options each visit without committing to a full bottle. And on “Tasting Tuesday,” stop by from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to try three wines and three small bites for $15.
As for the cocktails, look for an assortment of boozy beverages made with vodka, whiskey, rum or gin. Patrons will find staples like an old fashioned and espresso martini along with refreshing hits like The Parasol, a champagne-based drink made with honey, lemon, Lillet blanc and St. Germain.
Bistro A Vin is open Tuesday-Wednesday from 3-9:30 p.m. and Thursday-Friday from 3-10 p.m. For more information, visit bistroavin.com.
