Charleston County Parks will hold its first Palmetto Park Jam on March 26 at Palmetto Island County Park in Mount Pleasant featuring local Grateful Dead tribute band, The Reckoning.
Gates are at 10 a.m. for the family-friendly music event, which will kick off at 12 p.m. with a set by local guitarists Mac Calhoun and David Sink before The Reckoning take the stage from 1:30-4:30 p.m.
“Ranging from blues to country to jazz to funk — I pretty much play everything,” David Sink told City Paper. “I try to cover as much ground as I can and fill in different instrumentation on my Telecaster.”
For the Park Jam event, he and Mac Calhoun will play as a duo and stay in the realm of jam band material, delivering covers from names like Dave Matthews.
