Minero is reopening soon at its new location on Johns Island, but fans of the Mexican restaurant can get a sneak peak on April 13 for a special pop-up event at Low Tide Brewing.
From 5-8 p.m., executive chef Shamil Velazquez will be slinging Minero favorites, including housemade chips with a trio of arbol, benne and verde salsas or queso and the Minero Burger, a classic smash burger made with two beef and chorizo patties. The dishes were chosen to pair well with Low Tide’s selection of seasonal and local brews.
The brewery will also host trivia night, where the winning team will receive a round of pints for the team and a Minero gift card.
All proceeds from Minero’s menu as well as $1 for every pint of Low Tide beer sold will be donated to local Johns Island nonprofit, Sea Island Hunger Awareness Foundation.
Trivia and the pop-up is free to attend.
