Best Local Visual Artist
Patch Whisky
Muralist, toy maker and Best Local Visual Artist Patch Whisky credits video games with the start to his career. “My parents brought me a little gray box that plugged into the Zenith,” he said. “It was called a Nintendo, and it changed my life forever.” Whisky’s bright, cartoonish, expressive mural style jumps off the walls of local spots like The Bushwick Collective and seems to explode into the real world. Whisky opened up a new studio in Park Circle this past year. He’s looking forward to traveling to new cities over the next year—and of course, painting more walls.
