Honey Harper will bring its Southern-rock-slanted Americana outfit to Music Farm Sept. 23 ahead of the release of band’s new album Honey Harper & The Infinite Sky that drops Oct. 28.
Atlanta-born, London-based frontman/singer-songwriter Will Fussell answered some of City Paper‘s questions before he hits Music Farm, with a few contributions from Honey Harper co-founder Alana Pagnutti.
City Paper: What are you most looking forward to as 2022 nears its end?
Will Fussell: Our new record, Honey Harper & The Infinite Sky, coming out in October on ATO and spending our first Christmas together with our new baby!
CP: What was the inspiration behind the new album dropping Oct. 28, Honey Harper & The Infinite Sky?
Fussell: We wanted to create a record that would resonate with more people. Our last record was country music for people who don’t like country music, our new record is country music for everyone.
CP: What song is stuck in your head today?

CP: Last album you bought?
Fussell: Trio by Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Rondstadt
CP: Recent musical discovery?
Fussell: Easy life

Fussell: This is our first time playing Charleston so I will say Music Farm where we are playing on Sept. 23!
CP: What’s your best go-to T-shirt?
Fussell: My ribbed tank top, I wear one everyday.
CP: Your hangover cure is …
Pagnutti: Like 4 different drinks all at once: Coca- Cola, water, coffee and orange juice.
Fussell: Chorizo breakfast burrito & Coca-Cola on ice with a lemon slice.
CP: Last show you went to?
Fussell: Dylan Earl at AmericanaFest.
CP: What station’s always on your radio dial?
Fussell: 99.5 Moose FM in Muskoka, Ontario.
CP: Your musical style can be compared to?
Fussell: The head of our label always says, “Glenn Campbell on acid.”
CP: What band have you been meaning to listen to?
Fussell: The new PLAINS record coming out!
CP: What’s next for Honey Harper?
Fussell: Our tour with Amanda Shires across North America, touring in Europe in the new year, writing and producing songs for other artists, writing our next records!
