Western North Carolina is having its best fall color season in years and the leaves are at about their peak in the higher elevations. It’s looking pretty, too, in South Carolina’s Upstate.
According to Western Carolina University biology professor Beverly Collins, ““This is the best year that we’ve had in probably the last five years, it really is.” She told the Asheville Citizen Times that bright, sunny days and cool nights created the perfect conditions.
