Lace up your skates and glide across a waterfront synthetic skating rink through Feb. 5, 2023, in Mount Pleasant at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina as a part of its first winter wonderland experience.
“We are thrilled to be able to introduce our winter wonderland experience to the Charleston Harbor and offer the opportunity to create memories for kids of all ages,” said Oliver Rooskens, managing director with the resort.
The synthetic rink is completely recyclable and non-toxic, making it environmentally friendly, the resort announced in a recent press release.
Along with the skating rink, the North Pole comes to life with a village of inflatables, including a life-sized snow globe. The decorations are paired with favorite seasonal treats like hot chocolate and gourmet s’mores.
“There is nothing like celebrating the magic of the season and we look forward to providing this experience for many years to come,” Rooskens said.
This family-friendly holiday experience is open Thursday through Saturday from 3p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for local residents and $10 for resort guests. Admission fees include 50 minutes of skating and skate rentals. Skaters who bring two or more cans of food before Dec. 25 will receive $2 off the admission fee. All items will be donated to the Lowcountry Food Bank on Christmas Day.
