Bramblett

Veteran jazz and blues keyboardist and saxophonist Randall Bramblett thrilled a relaxed crowd of hundreds Sunday evening at a Freshfields Village on Kiawah Island.

Bramblett, a south Georgia native who has played with musicians ranging from Gregg Allman and Bonnie Raitt to Sea Level, Traffic and Widespread Panic, headlined at the Blues By the Sea festival put on by the Town of Kiawah Island.  Other bands included opener Sir Rod and the Blues Doctors from Mississippi and Florida’s Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones.

Gary Erwin, a blues piano player known widely around the area as “Shrimp City Slim,” organized the event, now in its 17th year.  Here are some photos by editor Andy Brack taken during the concert.
