Former President Donald Trump and 18 others, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former presidential Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, face 41 charges related to what Georgia prosecutors called a “criminal enterprise” in an effort to overturn the 2020 Georgia election results.
The sweeping allegations from the Atlanta grand jury became the fourth round of criminal indictments that the former president, a candidate for president in 2024, now faces. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis announced the charges in a 98-page indictmentMonday night following a two-year investigation.
Trump also has been indicted in New York over a hush money payment as well as in Florida for mishandling federal documents and in Washington, D.C., in relation to a plot to overturn the 2020 election results.
