Former President Donald Trump will make his third campaign visit this year to the Palmetto State with a stop at 3 p.m. today at Sportsman Boats in Summerville. Doors open at noon for the ticketed event. Expect traffic and other delays.

“There is no disputing that President Trump is the frontrunner in this presidential primary and the fact of the matter is he delivered on a lot of conservative priorities during his four years in the White House,” Dorchester County GOP Chairman Steven Wright told WCSC TV. “And the other fact is that America cannot afford four more years of Joe Biden.”

New polling suggests the 2024 contest will be a rematch between Trump and current Democratic President Joe Biden, according to The New York Times.

Trump reportedly is planning to skip this week’s second GOP presidential debate, but former S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley is expected to be a target for fellow challengers following her strong performance in the first debate.

In this story, Haley says she’ll get ready for the debate by playing lots of music, but noted that her full schedule of town hall meetings was the best debate prep.
