The husband of the bride killed in April in a tragic Folly Beach crash has reached settlements with two bars accused of negligently serving alcohol to a woman whose vehicle hit the newlyweds’ golf cart, according to published reports.
The bride, 34-year-old Samantha Miller, died in the April 28 crash in which the groom, Aric Hutchinson, and two others were injured. According to The Post and Courier, Hutchinson “petitioned the Charleston County Court of Common Pleas on Sept. 29 to approve offered settlements by the Crab Shack and the Drop In Bar & Deli, court papers show. The filing also asks the court to accept a settlement offer from Progressive, the deceased’s auto insurance company.”
The amounts of the settlement, which now heads to a judge for review, were not reported.
