Brewlab and the South Carolina Brewery Running Series host a 5K at 11 a.m. on May 18. Sign up for the un-timed fun run at eventbrite.com. All runners get to race a “5Kish” course, sip on Brewlab beer at the finish line and enter to win merch.

Charlestowne Fermentory continues releasing (and re-releasing) great beers. Head there now to try the South Pacific Sunrise, a hazy IPA that features what the brewery said are some of their favorite “southern hemisphere hops.”

Commonhouse Aleworks has two new seasonal releases: Double Parked, a double IPA with citrus, marmalade, stone fruit notes; and Spring Cling, a sour ale made with mango and peach. Drink the goods while enjoying Commonhouse’s weekly trivia, every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Edisto River Brewing celebrates Cinco de Mayo with an all-you-can-eat Mexican buffet catered by Next Course Food Truck ($15/pp). Enjoy live music from Uncle Gary’s Band and drinks like Mexican lagers and margaritas.

Check out Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co.’s latest release, Sour Strawberry Lemon, a golden sour ale. It pairs great with, well, more of its seasonal releases, including Popsicle, a tart ale brewed with lactose and Sun Kissed, a tart wheat ale brewed with tangerine.

Did you know the free Charleston Brewery shuttle is back? Start your journey at Fatty’s Beer Works, if you so desire, then brewery hop to the rest of the brewery district’s spots. Pick up some of the brewery’s fresh merch while you’re there.

Frothy Beard Brewing Co. hosts a fun event starting at 7:30 p.m. on May 8 — an adult spelling bee. The trivia night style event, in partnership with Reading Partners and hosted by Tip of the Tongue Trivia, tests your team’s spelling skills.

In case you hadn’t heard, Ghost Monkey Brewery is moving out of its Long Point road location to Old School Drive in North Charleston, to share a space with Striped Pig Distillery. Follow the brewery on Instagram for updates.

Revelry Brewing recently launched a new food concept, in partnership with chef Michael da Toscano, da Toscano Fugazzi. Be sure to stop by on Wednesdays for the “Roman-ish” pizza special: for twenty bucks you can get a big ol’ pizza and 64 oz. pitcher.

Support a local organization all month long when you drink beer at Snafu Brewing Company. A portion of proceeds from “It’s Okay,” a new blonde ale, will be donated to One80 Place all May.

Tideland Brewing hosts Hops & Horsepower on the second Sunday of every month. Go for the cool cars, stay for the kitchen’s rotating food specials.

Westbrook Brewing Co. recently brewed a beer to benefit the USS Yorktown Foundation, Shore Leave Lager. The beer is currently available in the taproom and will be available for distribution soon.
