The Charleston-based, sustainable oyster farm Lowcountry Oyster Company offers a recipe (see below) for a tangy mignonette

This Thursday is National Mimosa Day — and while there are plenty of spots in town serving up the popular orange juice and champagne beverage — Lowcountry Oyster Company offers a fun twist on the classic cocktail with their Mimosa Mignonette. 

The Charleston-based, sustainable oyster farm has a recipe (see below) for a tangy mignonette made with champagne vinegar, fresh squeezed orange and lemon juices and finely minced shallots and jalapeno.

2 oz champagne vinegar

Zest of lemons and oranges 

2 oz squeezed lemon juice

1 oz squeezed orange juice

Teaspoon minced shallot 

1/2 teaspoon minced jalapeño

And Lowcountry Cups shucked on the half shell.
