Honeysuckle Rose, a tasting menu restaurant located on downtown’s Fishburne St., recently launched the Petit Experience, an abbreviated version of the restaurant’s full tasting menu — at a lower price point. Honeysuckle Rose is one of several concepts from local restaurateurs Ryan and Kelleanne Jones.

The five-course tasting menu lasts around two hours and costs $150 per guest before tax. The price is all-inclusive, including gratuity, and includes the five food courses as well as wine (or nonalcoholic beverage) pairings.

Honeysuckle Rose hopes to accommodate a broader audience with this new offering.

Honeysuckle Rose opened last fall at 237 Fishburne Street, in the building formerly occupied by Purlieu. The full tasting menu experience includes eight courses, with beverage pairings, from chef/owner Ryan Jones and costs $250 per guest.

In a City Paper interview last October, Kelleanne said: “It’s [Honeysuckle Rose] definitely something we’ve always wanted to do, and it was just going to take the perfect space … It’s the perfect size for a tasting. It’s very intimate and quaint.”

The Jones’ expressed they want Honeysuckle Rose to feel like a party they would host in their home.

As Forbes writer Lauren Mowery wrote in her story, “These Are The Five Best Meals I Ate In Charleston, SC in 2023,” this fine dining restaurant doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Mowery wrote: “Launched by Ryan and Kelleanne Jones of Free Reign Restaurants in September, Honeysuckle Rose disposes of the notion that fine dining should be savored in hushed reverence. Rather, it strives to create a dinner party vibe replete with classic tunes and interaction between guests and the kitchen between courses.”
