MORNING HEADLINES | Forecasters say a cold front that will sweep through the Palmetto State tonight may bring freezing temperatures to some areas. So, prepare to bundle up.
“It is going to get quite a bit colder Wednesday night into the weekend,” Peter Mohlin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Charleston, told a newspaper. “A lot of places are going to see nightly lows dip into the 30s.”
Tropical Storm Sara will bring a small chance of rain tonight, according to forecasts. Following the rain is expected gusts of wind that will bring cold air into areas around the state, with some overnight lows falling into the 40s, and even the 30s for some, by the end of the week.

In a social media post, Blu Oyster Sushi & Seafood, housed along Maybank Highway, listed “prioritizing health and family” as the reason for the recent decision. Meanwhile, on James Island, Gillie’s Seafood has been closed for the past three months.
