MORNING HEADLINES | The 2025 Memorial Day kickoff to summer was bloody in parts of South Carolina where at least five people died and 15 were hurt in gun violence over the weekend.
In Little River at the northeast corner of the state, 11 went to local hospitals after a 9:30 p.m. Sunday shooting near a boat dock.
Horry County law enforcement officials said little last night. But according to the Associated Press, “About 90 minutes after the shooting, police called it an isolated incident and said there is no risk to the community. They did not release any information on possible suspects or what led to the shooting.” Other shootings:
