Halls Chophouse, Peninsula Gill, 82 Queen and Circa 1886 Restaurant are four of the country’s top 25 fine dining restaurants, according to the 2021 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice “Best of the Best” Restaurants awards.
Announced Wednesday, the awards “are calculated based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings for restaurants on TripAdvisor collected from January 1, 2020 — April 30, 2021, specific to each award subcategory, as well as an additional editorial process,” a press release said.
TripAdvisor recognized 10-25 restaurants in each of the eight subcategories. For fine dining in the U.S., Halls was ranked No. 3, Circa 1886 was No. 9, Peninsula Grill was No. 14 and 82 Queen came in at No. 25.
Circa 1886 earned a mention in the “Date Night” category (No. 2), and Acme Lowcountry Kitchen on the Isle of Palms was voted the 12th best place to go in the United States for “Everyday Eats.”
Halls and High Cotton were also recognized on the “Best Brunch Spots” lists — High Cotton was ranked No. 2 in the U.S. and Halls was ranked No. 1 in the U.S. and No. 25 in the world.
