The early voting period for the 2024 South Carolina primary elections kicks off May 28 and runs through June 7, and officials say itโ€™s crucial to prepare.

โ€œAny voter can cast a ballot ahead of election day without an excuse,โ€ said Isaac Cramer, executive director of the Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections. โ€œIt’s best to be ready to vote before you cast your ballot, so you have no issues when you go to vote.โ€

Early voting allows voters a chance to cast their ballot in advance during this 10-day window, presenting โ€œa good opportunity for them to make their voice heard,โ€ Cramer said.
