We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. The Habitat ReStores are the best places to outfit your crib. The one on Johns Island is stocked to the rafters with quality goods, a lot of it sent in from the tony Kiawah and Seabrook communities. The downtown shop is equally good, if a bit more eclectic. We’ve found more couches and kitchen goods than we’ve had apartments. Drop by regularly and snag the stuff as it gets carted off the truck. And when you’re ready to ditch your own couch, give them a call and they’ll pick it up. Each store helps raise money to build homes for good people.
