It’s an old U.K./European tradition: filling up a large vessel with local beer to take home and enjoy over the following days. The newly-opened Charleston Beer Exchange embraces this idea, allowing customers the opportunity to buy a handsome 64 oz. glass growler and to fill it up with local and regional ales and lagers poured “to-go” from taps in the shop. Knowledgeable owners Rich Carley and Scott Schor feature many ales from local mircrobrewery Coast among other hefty offerings.
