“Charlotte is more than a city you want to plant roots in these days. This influx of newcomers blended with time-tested talent is really shaping what’s next in culinary while also paying homage to Southern foodie trendsetters who have led the way like Charleston.”

Similar events rocked Atlanta, Greenville foodies

The Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority has taken the Queen City’s culinary show on the road since 2022 with similar Savor Charlotte events in Atlanta and Greenville.

Ariel H. Turner recalled how she loved eating Middle Eastern dishes at a similar 2022 event in Greenville with YAFO Kitchen Chef Shai Fargian, who will be at Southbound in Charleston on Nov. 14.

“To be honest, they had me at shakshuka, but I’d also order the  goat cheese panna cotta again immediately,” she posted on Instagram.

Leslie Haas Dowling had a similar experience in Greenville when she ate the offerings prepared by guest chef Bruce Moffett of Barrington’s and drinks from mixologist Russ Johnson of The Public House.

“This was something special,” she wrote.  “The result? A delight to all senses.”

And a past Savor Charlotte event in Atlanta was a culinary explosion for foodie DeAsha Green.  She said she couldn’t believe her taste buds!

“If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience then this is for you,” she shared.  “It blew me away. For one night, Charlotte’s most celebrated chefs and mixologists take over Atlanta restaurants to provide a culinary experience that you just don’t want to miss. A taste of Charlotte in Atlanta, WOW!”
