Black Food Truck Festival
This festival features some of the finest food trucks in the region along with music, vendors, kid-friendly activities and entertainment. But more than that, the event has a greater mission of making an economic and social impact on the community by showcasing and investing in Black-owned businesses.

Zwanze Day
Head to The Whale this weekend for one of the most anticipated beer events of the year with all the fixin’s. Every year, Cantillon releases a special, limited Zwanze beer poured simultaneously at bars around the world. But for the first time ever, two Zwanze variants will be tapped together. Grab a drink and be part of this global celebration of beer and community.

Seashore exploration
Spring is a great time to explore the beach. Join a trained naturalist and learn more about several local species in this weekend seashore adventure. Learn intriguing stories about adaptations that allow for life near the ocean, and enjoy accessible parking, restrooms
and water fountains available near the event location. An accessible route to a natural
sand beach is available.

Mount Pleasant Farmers Market
Founded in 1998, the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market celebrates the hard work of local farmers and makers. Head out every Tuesday through September for a local market featuring farm goods, food vendors and live music. Pick up fresh local produce, prepared meals and plenty of other goodies to stock your kitsch, including locally made olive oil, ranch dressing, boiled peanuts, Greek sweets, fresh pasta and more.

Regal Threads: The Majesty of Blue and Purple
This annual juried exhibition features works in fiber created by more than 60 African American artists from 22 states. Regal Threads honors the royal lineage within everyone
— creativity, heritage and divine right to adorn the world with beauty and meaning. Artists were invited to stitch, weave or sculpt their vision of majesty — interpreting “regal” in their own unique way.

Wine for all: Sonder Wine Bar and Retail Shop has opened at 90 Cannon St. Featuring bar seating, retail shelves, a relaxed lounge area, a private back patio and shareable small plates, Sonder is open for daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There is an industry appreciation day every Monday, featuring all-day specials. Looking ahead, Sonder plans to introduce a wine club, educational tastings, special events and community collaborations.

Bouquets and booze: Bloom and Bean Coffee, a flower and coffee shop founded by Kesha Camelia, has opened in Mount Pleasant’s Oyster Park at 1421 Shucker Circle. Lattes include a white petal one topped with a layer of raspberry jam and sliced strawberries, and a dirty matcha has an espresso shot with a twist of vodka. The floral program is rooted in K.C. Role reversal: Cane Pazzo is hosting the second installment of its “CP Off the Line” series with “Stellar Sandwiches by Orion’s Deli” from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 3. Roles will be reversed and Cane Pazzo Chef Mark Bolchoz will be behind the bar while the Heaton brothers from Orion’s take over the kitchen. Some menu highlights include a take on the Filet O’ Fish as well as a chicken salad Uncrustable. Seating is first come, first served.
