Last week’s mystery, “Tan and brick,” showed the outside of the Barnwell County Library.
Sleuth Allan Peel of San Antonio, Texas, shares that the structure was built first in 1936 as the county’s agricultural building at a time when farming drove the local economy. “In 1978, the building was repurposed and converted into the Barnwell County Public Library, and continues to serve in this capacity almost 50 years later,” he said.
