With rough weather on the horizon, the Town of Mount Pleasant canceled the Blessing of the Fleet events scheduled for Sunday afternoon (April 25) at the Memorial Waterfront Park.
The event was scheduled for 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. The 23rd annual event — presented by the East Cooper Medical Center — was to take place at the newly-opened park and pier for the first time this year (it previously took place at Alhambra Hall). Mt. Pleasant town officials have not yet announced plans for re-scheduling the event.
