Cowboy Mouth is known for their high energy, upbeat shows. Frontman/drummer Fred LeBlanc always demands crowd participation, and Charleston accommodates him with spirited enthusiasm. The band’s show at the Windjammer on Sunday — their final gig of a three-day stint — did not disappoint. There was one slight difference from the Friday and Saturday shows: Sunday’s early-evening set was family friendly.

Dancing in the crowd were pint-sized concertgoers- in-training. The kids were given a warm welcome and introduction to Cowboy Mouth 101, eager to dance, sing along, and even throw red spoons to the stage during “Everybody Loves Jill.” A few lucky youngsters were called up to the stage to play the drums with Fred at the end of the show and after a few moments of surprise and stage fright, enthusiastically played along.
