Boone Hall‘s summer concert series drew thousands of local music fans to the scenic plantation grounds last Saturday (July 24) for balmy but funky event featuring two of the most celebrated party bands of the disco era — KC & The Sunshine Band and The Village People.
Local photographer Mike Bills was there, snapping shots of the Village People’s campy set (in daylight) and KC & The Sunshine Band’s mixed set of originals hits — including “Shake Shake Shake (Shake Your Booty),” “I’m Your Boogieman,” “Keep it Comin’ Love,” and “Boogie Shoes” — and rock and pop covers.
