The Theatre 99 gang is working on a brand-new show that blends two inherently hilarious forms of entertainment: improv and karaoke. T99 co-founder Greg Tavares is writing and directing Redneck Karaoke Contest, which was inspired by Tony and Tina’s Wedding and Awesome ’80s Prom.
Tavares is holding auditions for “all types of rednecks” on April 11 at 8:30 p.m. at Theatre 99. You’ll be expected to sing a karaoke song — you can find the list on the event’s Facebook page. Singing skills and a background in improv are not required.
