About a month ago we reported that veteran Charleston beverage director Jeremiah Schenzel (most recently of South Seas Tiki Bar) and Johnson & Wales grad Nicholas Dowling (former head distiller at High Wire) will be opening a breakfast-focused concept at 280 Ashley Ave. called Daps (in Latin ‘daps’ means a sacrificial or solemn feast).

If you can’t wait to whet your appetite at the Westside spot, Daps will be popping up at Charles Towne Fermentory slinging breakfast and brunch eats from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the next three Sundays (Oct. 15, 22, 29). Broom Wagon coffee will serve hot beans, and you can grab brews from the Fermentory to kick off your Sunday Funday. Daps has yet to release a menu, but they promise to research and develop the “ultimate breakfast sandwich.”
