This isn’t your college dorm room power hour — it’s the semi-grown-up version. 

Downtown brewpub Baker and Brewer is giving guests the chance to converse with its brewers and production crew every Thursday from 4-6 p.m., and during the first hour, every beer on its draft list will be $2. 

According to general manager Angie Tunstall, the weekly session will help regulars and newbies alike learn more about the brewing process and the B&B team, who she affectionately refers to as “a bunch of weirdos.” 

Baker and Brewer was born in 2019 when Holy City Brewing and EVO Pizzeria joined forces to open the Stuart Street compound. Baker and Brewer brews its own beer and creates its own pizza topping combinations, but you’ll also find HCB and EVO favorites like the pork trifecta pizza. 

“The production crew at HCB wanted to get together each week at Baker and Brewer and chat about beer not only with staff but also anyone that wanted to show up,” said Holy City Brewing owner Chris Brown, discussing the power hour. “It’s good for us to get out from behind the scenes every once in a while.”
