In the old Taco Spot building on 221 1/2 Coming St., Tippling House owners Matthew Conway and Carissa Hernandez have renovated the space to offer grab-and-go pressed burritos for lunch.

Named in honor of the building’s former use as a paper press before being renovated to serve food, The Press is inspired by Conway’s Californian upbringing and fast-paced life in New York.

“Sometimes you just need something quick, delicious and inexpensive,” said Conway in an email.

The menu is curated by chef Alex Yellan, who also developed the snack menu for Tippling House.

The Press will offer three options: veggie bean for $9, chicken for $10 and steak for $12. Each burrito will be stuffed with your choice of filling, cheese, fries, pico de gallo avocado and your choice of mild red or spicy green salsa. Each burrito also comes with chips and a packet of Cholula hot sauce intended for diners to “pour in, shake up and eat as a fun side with your burrito.”

Orders can be made at tipplinghousechs.com or on Instagram @thepresschs and ready within 15 minutes of order confirmation.

Pick-up is at the window and can be done “without parking the car,” the owners said. Outside seating will be available soon for those who want to sit down and enjoy the burrito with soft drinks, beer or wine.

The Press is open Mon. to Fri. from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
