Valentine’s Day is almost here. The holiday of love falls on a Monday this year, but that shouldn’t stop you or your loved one from celebrating something special over the weekend. And if you don’t want to celebrate at home, here’s a list of places to spend the holiday weekend around town:
Church & Union
Church & Union will offer a la carte menu items from Feb. 11-13, and on Feb. 14, the restaurant will present a three-course prix-fixe menu. Price for the prix-fixe menu varies on the choice of entree, but first course options include oysters Rockefeller, short rib ravioli, French onion soup and endives. Entree options and prices include Chilean seabass for $90, Joyce Farms chicken roulade for $80, beet and citrus gnocchi for $80, filet for $90 and ribeye tomahawk with lobster tail for $220. Dessert options include a chocolate raspberry bar, red velvet cheesecake and rose spongecake. Dinner available 5 p.m.-until.
Curated by executive chef Jeanne Olesiak, HERD Provisions is offering a six-course meal on Sat. Feb. 12 for $125 per person. The six-course meal will feature items like a cheese plate to start, winter squash soup, fried local oysters, local citrus salad, peppercorn crusted filet and Nutella wontons to finish off the night. In addition to its regular menu, The Longboard will offer specials on Feb. 14, curated by executive chef Will Fincher. The holiday specials include smoked duck with chicories, grilled grapes, pickled mustard seeds, parsnip puree and au jus, crab agnolotti with guanciale, preserved meyer lemon and parmesan and osetra caviar with traditional accouterments and chips. From Feb. 1 to Mar. 31, The Loutrel is offering a two-night “Love in the Lowcountry Package,” featuring a stay in one of The Loutrel’s luxury suites, a custom-scented candle to take home, complimentary late check-out and a romantic getaway to The Loutrel’s private rooftop. The rooftop experience will provide guests with two hot toddies, paired with a charcuterie board, a petite floral arrangement and Matouk blanket. A minimum two-night stay is required for the package. Church & Union’s sister seafood restaurant will offer a $125 prix-fixe menu Feb. 14. The menu will be a three-course meal, with first course options of roasted heirloom carrots, capellini and clams and pates forestieres, second course options of seared halibut, pan roasted duck breast, filet mignon and truffle risotto and dessert options of blancmange, citrus clafoutis and s’mores. Tempest’s famous raw and roast bar will also be available. Dinner will be available 4-10 p.m.
Just in time for Valentine’s weekend, Wild Common is bringing back its popular Winter Truffle menu, available from Fri. Feb 10 to Mon. Feb. 14. The menu is a five-course tasting menu, featuring items like black truffle caramelle pasta, black truffle crumpet, seared diver scallop and more. Reservations can be made online on Resy.
Zero Restaurant + Bar
Zero Restaurant + Bar is offering a special multi-course menu from Fri. Feb. 10 to Mon. Feb. 14. The special menu will include items like Zero George’s signature caviar, truffles, Japanese wagyu and rare wine pairings. Seating is available indoors and on the patio.
