Earlier this morning I had the chance to drop by Rebellion Road Studio and record a conversation with Charleston Ballet Theatre resident choreographer Jill Eathorne Bahr for podcast No. 8 in the series of Spoleto Buzzcasts I’m doing throughout the festival. As soon as webmistress Caitlin Cahill has uttered the incantation that makes it magically appear in the mystical place where podcasts live, you’ll be able to hear it by clicking here.

Jill and I talked about their dance series at the King Street studio and also about the coming weekend’s hot-ticket performance of Stravinsky’s pulse-quickening Rite of Spring beneath the Angel Oak on John’s Island, with live accompaniment this year from the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. It should be one to remember. As Jill says, this is R-rated ballet.
