We’re working on a story on gay politics in the Lowcountry and covered a presentation by Patrick Sammon, president of the Log Cabin Republicans, at a recent meeting of Charleston’s nonprofit, nonpartisan Alliance for Full Acceptance. An audience member asked Patrick about the danger of a Jeb Bush candidacy in 2012. Patrick said he wasn’t concerned.
“I’m not a political analyst, but I think this Bush has kind-of ruined the brand.” Amen.
