Last week we ran a story on legislative women trying to preserve the female perspective in the state Senate. One of those women, Beaufort Rep. Catherine Ceips, won her Republican Primary runoff yesterday. Ceips is obviously well liked in her own district, but she’s best known around these parts as the third leg in the Scarborough love-triangle that broke during his divorce last year. Ceips will take on two challengers in the June 19 special election, but the heavy Republican district all-but assures her win.
