This week started off with a bang as the Band of Horses rocked the masses at the City Paper and Jack Daniel’s sponsored event at the Music Farm on Wednesday. I arrived just in time to chat with coworkers and even receive my own Jack Daniel’s T-shirt (well, along with 500 other folks).

On Friday, I got my Opa! on at the Greek Fest. I collected my fair share of gyros and Greek fries before hitting the pastry tent (also known as my Achilles heel). Friday evening was spent absorbing folk/political acoustic rock by Chris Tidestrom at the first ever Friday Night Live at Earth Fare, a benefit for the Lowcountry Food Bank.

The sun was out in full force on Saturday for the Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Competition in North Charleston, where the crowd of parents and onlookers were treated to a lovely serenade by the Suzuki Hungry Monk Ensemble. Afterward, I wandered over to the quilt exhibit at 10 Storehouse Row, which was like a walk through Southern history in a gentler, grandmother-y sort of way.
