Being the comic geek that I am, I thought I’d note this news from Marvel Comics. The home of Spider-Man and X-Men, among other hyphenated super heroes, has recently been publishing novels in comic form. In November, the company will release one of the more celebrated (kind-of) gay works: Picture of Dorian Gray.

By Oscar Wilde, the novel centers on a beautiful young man and the two men enamored by him. One paints a picture that mystically allows Dorian to remain young while his likeness in the painting ages. There’s a host of gay allusions in the book. It’ll be interesting to see if they translate to the modern page.
