So CNN Headline News has been running a segment on Charleston native Stephen Colbert’s recently launched presidential campaign. But they left out the most important part of the joke, the part that makes the tired routine of a comedian running for president fresh: They failed to mention that Colbert was running for president only in South Carolina.
A bit on CNN’s Political ticker also leaves out this part.
Come on guys, the joke’s a good one, but only if the “only in South Carolina” bit is included. If not, this is nothing more than Pat Paulsen ’08.
