Francis Marion University received another cash boost for its $30 million performing arts, part of the university’s ongoing plan to build up the school.

The Imperial Theatre finally has its budget in order after a period of bad leadership, poor budgeting, and failed sense of identity. Instead of a house that produces works, as it tried to do in the 2006-2007 season, it’s current board has settled on being a stage-for-hire.
