According to a small item in today’s business section, Basil — Charleston’s favorite Thai restaurant — has signed a lease with the Beach Company at the Shoppes at Seaside Farms off of the Isle of Palms connector.
That’s exciting news. We’ve got a call into Basil brothers Henry and Chai Eang to get details on their plans.
UPDATE: Chai says that nothing has been confirmed as of yet and that they are still looking for a space in Mt. Pleasant, an area they’ve long wanted to expand into. As of now, he says, there’s no news to tell.
