It may not be so politically correct to boast membership in a “drinking club,” but Mellow Mushrooms’s free-to-join 100 Beer Club (enjoying a five-year run) encourages beer lovers to aim for both quality and quantity. The club challenges brew lovers to take their time and sample 100 of the restaurant’s 140 bottled beer selections and 17 rotating draft selections (a great way to encourage repeat business). After 50 beers, members get an official Beer Club hat. At 100 beers, they win a T-shirt and their own exclusive 20 oz. mug — and terrific bragging rights.
