Collards are a staple on our veggie plate, but making them at home is a pain in the butt. So we order them whenever they’re on the menu. The version at Virginia’s on King is unlike any we’ve ever tasted — smoky, sweet, and supremely satisfying. The secret ingredient? Molasses, a trick our food critic Jeff Allen has been known to use himself. It’s one we’d try too, if we couldn’t just head on over to Virginia’s to get our greens when we crave them.
