You can simply follow the cars and the crowd to the little shack on Maybank Highway that houses Johns Island’s preeminent culinary experience. They may not be the oldest guys on the block, but Fred Neuville and Co. have done well. Starting with a French blueprint lifted from time spent at the helm of 39 Rue de Jean, massaging in a down-home aesthetic, and laying down the Lowcountry schtick with some of the best fried oysters in town, they’ve got everyone covered — from the snob with the downtown pinky ring to the beer-bellied redneck at the bar. Now if we could just get a seat on Saturday night…
