A couple of us here at the City Paper HQ are regular WTMA listeners. Some of it’s pretty tough getting through; we just can’t stop laughing at the asinine arguments of the rabid right and the crybaby whine that America just ain’t the sort of intolerant, whites-only place it used to be.
There’s Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz, Mark Levin, and Charleston’s own Rocky D. There’s one bright spot in the WTMA schedule — The Morning Buzz with Richard Todd. Yes, Todd leans right, and that’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with conservatism; hell, we’ve been missing true conservatism for years. But what makes Todd unique and refreshing is that he’s a pretty even-tempered dude. Yeah, he might disagree with Democrats, but you don’t hear him frothing at the mouth every time he mentions the word “liberal” like other talk radio hosts do.
