Some of us like to refer to local guitarist David Linaburg as “Old Freakout Linny.” The lanky CofC jazz major is a terrifically ambitious musician, willing to go way over the line in any music situation. He stays busy jamming with jazz/prog trio Morimoto and at weekly gigs at Fish with trumpeter Charlton Singleton and bassist Ben Wells. He also works with horn player Kevin Hackler’s quintet, in singer Lindsay Holler’s band, The Dirty Kids, and a billion other wild projects.
