Yeah, North Charleston is the seventh most dangerous city in the U.S. And it kind of smells a bit like farts from a chemo patient. And depending on where you live, there might not be a grocery store — decent or otherwise — within a mile of your house. But hope is not lost for North Chuck. Nope. There’s Olde North Charleston in Park Circle, a little strip of restaurants, shops, and businesses that has a real small-town feel to it. Within a few blocks, you’ll find an Irish pub (Madra Rua), a pizza parlor (EVO Pizzeria), a barbecue place (the newly opened Barbecue Joint), a hip little coffee house (Park Circle Coffee), a brand new bar (The Chart), a good ole watering hole (The Mill), and, just a ways away, a burger joint (Sesame). Who knows, in a few years, the Lowcountry could have its very own Little Five Points.
